Offers features to manage and secure third-party access to data, applications, and IT infrastructure
Leostream Corporation, creator of the world-leading Leostream® Remote Desktop Access Platform, today announced the launch of the Leostream Privileged Remote Access service. The service manages and secures access to data, applications, and IT infrastructure by non-employees such as external contractors, freelancers, service providers, and other external stakeholders.
The Leostream Privileged Remote Access service allows access to an organization’s resources for IT support tasks, to collaborate with internal employees, or to perform outsourced assignments. It extends secure, verified, identity-based, device-agnostic remote access to vendors, freelancers, and external stakeholders, ensuring productivity and a consistent user experience. Organizations can manage and audit access with strict authentication, least-privileged access control, and session recording for complete vendor accountability.
“Most modern enterprises need to grant third-party access to some extent, but this introduces vulnerabilities and security flaws that can put sensitive corporate resources and data at risk,” said Karen Gondoly, Leostream CEO. “By introducing the Leostream Privileged Remote Access service we are building on our 20-plus years of expertise in remote access to digital workspaces to create a solution for Vendor Privileged Access Management - or VPAM - that is superior to any alternatives.”
With the Leostream Privileged Remote Access service, organizations can:
- Grant external users as much or as little access as is required by their role, limit access by date and time, and automatically revoke access as required
- Secure and protect organizational resources based on zero-trust principles depending on the user, workload, and hours of operation
- Allow external users to connect from nearly any hardware, device, and OS including Windows, Linux, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, and iOS
- Avoid installing agent software on corporate resources or on external devices with a user-friendly in-browser desktop viewer
- Prevent privileged credentials from leaking out of their organization
- Eliminate the difficulties of virtual private networks with a streamlined gateway to programmatically open and close access to the specific organizational resources that vendors are empowered to see and use
- Maintain session recordings and comprehensive logs to track third-party login and resource usage, monitor for anomalous activity, and ensure policies are enforced.
The Leostream VPAM service can be deployed as a stand-alone solution or deployed alongside Leostream's Remote Desktop Access Platform.
